CERTIFICATE III IN CIVIL CONSTRUCTION (BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE)

To obtain the RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction (Bridge Construction and Maintenance) you must achieve competency in twenty-six (26) units, which consist of eight (8) core units and eighteen (18) elective units, of which:

• eight (8) must be chosen from Group D
• at least two (2) must be chosen from Group E
• at least three (3) must be chosen from Group F
• up to four (4) may be chosen from the electives below, elsewhere within this training package, or from another endorsed training package, or from an accredited course offered by IPS Institute.

All elective units selected for this qualification must reflect current occupational and learning outcomes of this AQF qualification level.

While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, for a trainee pathway, the learner must be employed full time or part time and have access to a workplace to be able to gain sufficient experience to successfully complete the unit of competency requirements.

Based on prior learning and work experience in a related field IPS Institute will conduct a RPL giving you the ability to fast track this qualification. Previously completed units of competencies or qualifications in a related field may provide you eligibility to CT the units you have already completed.

Student contribution fee is $1.60 per nominal hour. This is a mandatory fee set by the Queensland State Government.
