CERTIFICATE III IN CIVIL FOUNDATIONS

IPS Institute RII31215 Certificate III in Civil Foundations will develop capabilities in infrastructure and building site preparation which will offer many different career options for those who love to get their hands dirty and don’t want to spend their days inside an office.

Reflecting the role of a skilled operator working in foundation work in the Civil construction industry, who applies a broad range of skills relevant to general civil construction occupations and large scale infrastructure projects. The individual may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

To obtain the RII31215 Certificate III in Civil Foundations you must achieve competency in 25 units consisting of (14) core units and (11) elective units, of which:
• At least five (5) must be chosen from Group A, of which at least two (2) which must be foundation work (RIICFW) units
• No more than five (5) may be chosen from Group B
• No more than one (1) may be chosen from elsewhere within this training package, or from another endorsed training package, or from an accredited course offered by IPS Institute.

While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, for a trainee pathway, the learner must be employed full time or part time and have access to a workplace to be able to gain sufficient experience to successfully complete the unit of competency requirements.

Based on prior learning and work experience in a related field IPS Institute will conduct a RPL giving you the ability to fast track this qualification. Previously completed units of competencies or qualifications in a related field may provide you eligibility to CT the units you have already completed.
